She is survived by: Rika, Trevor, Bradley, Doug , Lucille, Jennifer, Wade, Craig, Karen, Martin, Travis, Tracey, Michelle, Roberta, Roy, Denise, Patti, John, Anita, Yvan, Kendra, Patrick, Nikolas, Patrick, Anesa, Nicole, Derrick, Joni as well as numerous other family members. Mabel is predeceased by son, Roy and daughter Colleen. A viewing will start at 12:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Mabels Life to be held at Sacred Heart Church, of the First Peoples, 10821-96 Street, Edmonton on December 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations, may be made to the Cross Cancer Hospital.

Mr. Paul George Kotelko May 28, 1922 - November 23, 2008 - Paul George Kotelko 1922 – 2008 It is with deep sadness that the family announce the passing of Paul at Royal University Hospital on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Natalie; his five children, Wesley Kotelko of Wakaw, SK, Zenia Kotelko of Cudworth, SK, Nadia (Dr. Wes) Antosh of Saskatoon, SK, Larisa Kotelko, and Lesia (Scott) Kotelko Lange, of Calgary, AB; seven grandchildren, Paul Jr., Zachary, Yarimyr Kotelko, and Andrian, Zane, Azaria and Ivan Antosh; sisters, Mary Holinaty, Irene (Michael) Shipowick, Paula Osachuk and families; sisters in law, Rose Jarman, Petrunella Kotelko, Olga Kotelko, Ruth (Carl) Slegel and families; many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as Natalie’s family, Roman (Mildred) Sopotyk, and Natalie Sopotyk and families; and his many friends. He was predeceased by his grandson, Zevin Antosh, parents, George and Anna (Wintonyk) Kotelko; brothers, Steve, John, Michael, Jacob; sister, Olga (Wally) Chole; brothers in law, Joe Osachuk, Joe Holinaty; nephew, Zennon Kotelko; and his in laws, William and Mary Sopotyk; George, Paul, Dmytro, and Anna Sopotyk. Paul was born in Carpenter district, SK on his parents homestead in 1922. He studied at the University of Saskatchewan and convocated from the College of Agriculture. He worked in Toronto for a couple of years and then returned to the family farm. In 1958 Paul married Natalie Sopotyk and together they farmed the original homestead, which was acquired in 1898 by his grandparents. Paul was self taught on the Violin and honoured many family and friends with his wonderful music. Paul was an active member of the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the TYC Men’s Club, and was very active in curling, playing ball, and up to the age of 80 enjoyed skating on the pond with his children and grandchildren. Paul and Natalie raised their children with plenty of love, providing them with a passion for their Ukrainian culture, the Ukrainian Orthodox faith, music, sports and family values. His grandchildren were his precious young people, whom he always enjoyed having around him. Everyday Paul touched our lives with his loving, strong willed and humorous personality, which will be a legacy to all whose hearts he touched. Prayer Service for Paul will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints, 2616 Louise Street, Saskatoon, SK. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of The Holy Trinity, Cudworth, SK with Rev. Fr. Roman Kocur and Very Rev. Fr. Bohdan Demczuk officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Cudworth, SK. Memorial donations may be made to Zevin’s Dream Foundation, C/O 521 – 11th Street East, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 0G1. Condolences to the family may be sent via www.parkfuneral.ca. Arrangements entrusted to James Werezak of PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 244-2103.
