In 2022 and 2023, Triodos Bank initiated a transition to a unified "One Bank" operating model. As part of this operating model, the new functional line of Commercial has been designed. This new organization design focuses on integrating all commercial strategy and marketing efforts. It is designed on two main customers segments that deliver value end-to-end to either businesses or consumers. To strengthen the commercial department, we are looking for a visionary leader with a broad experience in the field of business banking to take on the position of Group Head of Business Banking

How you will make a difference
You will help us to ‘finance change to change finance’, by having an end-to-end commercial responsibility for the Business clients, both for Business Lending and Retail Business clients (including Business Retail Accounts and Business Investments). Together with a dedicated team, and using resources from the Marketing team, you will form multi-disciplinary Customer Segment Teams to deliver on their commercial responsibility from strategy to development and steering.
Together with your team:
- You will develop business propositions within the target markets and sets clear strategic guidelines and objectives for the countries.
- You will take end-to-end responsibility for the cross-country Business Banking commercial performance.
- You will identify best practices among the countries and sectors and aligns group-wide commercial strategies. Drives product-market combination optimization in the different sectors and countries in collaboration with the local heads and establishes cross country product / service suite, pricing strategy & decision making, risk framework alignment and impactful vision.
- You will drive and steer the main commercial focus cross country and leads the commercial multidisciplinary teams to achieve Group year plan objectives and support country commercial/financial year plan targets.
- You will execute and interpret customer, market, and competitor research, translating findings into actionable advice on innovation of propositions.
- You will be responsible for growing impact. Oversees and defines the Business Banking proposition development and management from a group-wide vision, translating the outcomes of the Impact and Economics research to concrete business propositions.
- You will be responsible for group-wide commercial projects focused on transformative impact
- You will develop and manage the group-wide pricing frameworks and policies for Business Banking products. Responsible for the Risk Weighted Asset allocation and Return On Equity goals and for the portfolio performance.
- You will perform strong stakeholder management principally with Group departments
- You will represent and promote Triodos Business Banking at external events.

Furthermore, it is expected that you will have:
- proven experience as manager in a relevant field of business banking
- broad hands-on experience in business banking activities, preferably within an international context
- vital market knowledge and external insights in one or more target markets, both geographically and product wise (lending, business accounts, saving and investment)
- excellent command of the English language (command of Dutch, Spanish, French and/or German is a plus)
Your future colleagues
You will be part of the management team of the Group commercial Group Head and report to him. You have a dedicated team of proposition developers (1 FTE) and commercial portfolio analysts (2 FTE). Besides, by using resources from the Head of Marketing, you will form multi-disciplinary Customer Segment Teams. Having end-to-end accountability for the consumer segments, including marketing aspects, you will also act as the Single Point of Contact for local Heads of Business Banking.
